Emma Wall

Emma Wall

I am currently living in Newcastle where, since September I have been working as a foundation dentist in a general dental practice based in Gosforth. I have found the transition from dental student to foundation dentist extremely rewarding and have had the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients with varying treatment needs.

I recently graduated from Peninsula Dental School where I completed a challenging yet enjoyable four years on the graduate entry progamme. During my time as a dental student I was fortunate enough to travel as part of an experienced team to the Amazon River in Peru where we delivered basic dental care to adults and children living in remote communities.

My aspirations for the future are to complete my DFT year and sit the MFDS/MJDF examination before applying to dental core training (DCT) jobs with a long-term view of specialising.

I had a great time at the recent BSRD conference I found it was a fantastic opportunity to reunite with old friends and colleagues and to meet new like-minded people at a similar stage in their career. I attended the composite workshop in the morning where I received some useful practical tips on how to improve the aesthetics of anterior and posterior build-ups and the opportunity to use some excellent materials.
