BSRD Prizes

The Society has the following prizes to award in 2018. All BSRD members are invited to apply.. Please see 'Rules and Regulations' for further details.

May 2018: The W&H Written Clinical Case prize.
A written submission of not more than 2,000 words + illustrations. The prize will be presented at the Society’s Scientific Meeting.
This W&H prize will take the form of a W&H hand piece presented with a certificate.

May 2018: The Poster Presentation prizes.

There are three categories available to apply for:

  1. Clinical case,
  2. Clinical audit project
  3. Research project.

A prize may be awarded for the best poster presentation in any section. The posters are presented at the Society’s Scientific Meeting. The Poster prizes will take the form of a cash award of £250 for the Clinical audit and Research poster categories together with a certificate.

TO CELEBRATE THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY THE AWARD FOR THE CLINICAL CASE POSTER WILL BE INCREASED TO £500.

May 2018: The Peers Postgraduate Implant poster prize.
The presentation of a poster of a clinical implant case. 
The prize will take the form of a prize from the Peers group and a certificate

November 2018: The Undergraduate Oral Clinical Case prize.
A single candidate will be selected by their Dental schools as having the best clinical case to represent them and submit their abstracts to the society.
All candidates selected to represent their Dental School will obtain free membership to the society for a year.

The winning candidate will win an NSK hand piece and also be asked to present their case at next year’s British Society of Restorative Dentistry conference, where they will be presented with a certificate (the conference fees, accommodation and evening meal fee will be covered by the society. However travel expenses are self-funded).

November 2018: The Gary Pollock Oral Clinical Case Presentation prize. 
The best three abstract submissions are invited to give a verbal presentation at the Society’s Scientific Meeting.
The Gary Pollock prize will take the form of a cash reward of £250 together with a certificate.
