I was very honoured to be your President in 2004-05 and living in the historic City of Bath at the time arranged for our annual meeting to be held at the Assembly Rooms in the City followed by a reception with the Mayor at the Roman Baths and dinner in the adjacent Georgian Pump Rooms. It was a grand affair and seemed to be enjoyed by all, not least by my wife Brenda and myself.
The scientific meeting ‘Changing Smiles: Quality and Predictability in the 21st Century’ managed to spotlight a number of great clinicians from home and abroad who shared their knowledge and experience which was much appreciated by the audience.
I had a great time in Restorative Dentistry starting at Birmingham Dental Hospital and School (1975-83) then to the Eastman Dental Hospital and Institute (1983-94) finally ending up at the Bristol Dental Hospital and School (1994-2015). Since retiring I’ve ventured into a new role as athletics coach based at the University of Bath and enjoy all the new challenges that it offers.
I wish the Society well.
